Stain Identification and Removal

In SW Florida it is not a question of if your Pool and/or Spa will get stains, but rather a question of when.

Your pool is a major asset to your home. A stained pool is not only unsightly, but may also reduce the value of your home.

The major culprit of stains in our pools can be traced back to the water that we put into our pools. From City Water (Municipalities to County), or well water in the more rural areas, all contains some type of contaminants that enter into your pool and/or spa. Many of these contaminants include:

  • Iron
  • Rust
  • Magnesium
  • Phosphates
  • Cobalt
  • Copper

Many times your choice of pool equipment, primarily pool heaters, can be the cause of contaminants in your pool.

These minerals and contaminants are so small, your typical pool filter will not catch these contaminants will eventually adhere to you pool and/or spa walls.

There is a 3-step process to solve your pool/spa staining issues:
